REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates must be dependable, flexible, and available to work regularly scheduled hours between 7 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. M-F.

  • Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma and some previous childcare experience.

  • Preferred Requirements:

    • Child Development Associate Certification

    • College credit in early childhood development

    • One year of prior childcare experience.

    • CPR Certification

  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A BACKGROUND CHECK is required for all employees.

  • COVID-19 considerations:

    • Open Door follows best practices based on current recommendations and guidelines from NAEYC, the CDC, and Austin Public Health. A mask may be required during the interview and to work with young children and families each day.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • $15.00/hour or more, depending on education and experience.

  • Paid sick/vacation days and paid holidays for permanent staff working a minimum of 20 hours/week.

  • Employer-offered insurance (medical, dental, vision) for permanent staff working a minimum of 30 hours/week.

  • Life+Disability insurance (fully paid by employer) for permanent staff working a minimum of 30 hours/week.
